What’s New in Greenlight Guru Clinical 2025.1: Smarter Show Rules and Easier File Vault Access
Greenlight Guru Clinical 2025.1 is here, and it brings exciting new features to help MedTech teams move faster, stay compliant, and streamline study workflows. This release focuses on three core improvements:
- A more flexible Process Show Rules and a new builder
- Simplified, self-serve File Vault access and management
- New non-blocking amendment functionality for clinical studies
1. Smarter process show rules with a new visual builder
You can now create more complex logic within process show rules using a new visual interface that supports multiple criteria and AND/OR conditions.
This means:
- Rules can include multiple conditions (e.g. “Subject must be over 65 AND female” to trigger a form)
- Use AND and OR operators to fine-tune when forms, questions, or modules appear
- Build and edit rules more intuitively with a clean visual layout
✨ All existing rules will continue to function exactly as they did before.
This update gives study builders the control they need to personalize workflows without extra complexity—especially useful for nuanced eligibility criteria or branching logic based on demographics or risk factors.
2. File Vault access just got easier
Managing your File Vault just became frictionless:
- Automatic login when clicking the File Vault tab—no need to re-enter credentials
- One-click setup when enabling the File Vault add-on
- Automatically enables the “API” add-on when needed
- Collaborator access now managed right from the collaborators menu
- Password changes sync automatically—no manual updates required
This update makes it easier for teams to securely access and share files while reducing administrative burden, especially in multi-site studies or larger sponsor-CRO collaborations.
3. Non-blocking amendments (Coming soon!)
A major improvement is the ability to make study amendments without halting your trial. In version 2025.1 (or shortly after), teams will have the option to choose between:
- Blocking Amendments (existing behavior) – Site users are locked out of data collection while changes are made
- Non-Blocking Amendments (new) – Site users can continue collecting data, enrolling subjects, and randomizing while the amendment is in progress
This gives your team greater flexibility to implement updates—especially helpful when minor protocol adjustments or form updates are needed mid-study. Additionally, site users won’t know an amendment is occurring, which ensures there’s no disruption to their day-to-day operations.
