2023 Greenlight Guru True Quality Roadshow: San Jose Recap

Yes way, San Jose! On April 20th, the Greenlight Guru True Quality Roadshow landed in San Jose, California for its second stop of the 2023 tour. Unsurprisingly, the Bay Area event did not disappoint, as it brought together the brightest minds in MedTech for an unforgettable half-day event.

The room was buzzing with excitement as medical device professionals in engineering, design, development, and executives joined our partners from Rook Quality Systems, Velentium, and Galen Data to learn and discuss the MedTech industry’s best practices and trends.

Upon arrival, attendees were gifted some limited-edition True Quality Roadshow-specific swag before we kicked things off with introductions from the Greenlight Guru team and Velentium. From there, we dove into a panel featuring Derek Hillstrom, VP of Engineering and Quality at Bone Health Technologies, Ashlee Francis, Co-Founder/ CEO at FemDX, and Chester Burress, Director of Business Development & Senior Systems Engineer at Velentium. The three shared their personal stories and thoughts on the future of the industry and the MedTech ecosystem in San Jose.

Networking was a highlight of the event, giving the Greenlight team the chance to start conversations with potential leads and make introductions. And who could forget the live recording of The Global Medical Device Podcast? Nada Hanafi, SVP, Regulatory Strategy at Veranex sat down with host Etienne Nichols to talk about her 12+ years at the FDA, as well as some of her passions including diversity & inclusion in the MedTech space.

Nada spent 12 years at the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH). While at the FDA, Nada led postmarket investigations for OB-GYN devices, wrinkle fillers, tanning devices, breast implants, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) devices, and metal-on-metal hip implants, and she applies this knowledge to help companies effectively manage postmarket requirements.

Of course, no event would be complete without a happy hour networking event, where attendees mingled over delicious food and drinks. The engagement was fantastic, and we loved getting to have conversations with prospects.
